The Old Schools

This building is known amongst the locals as the 'H' because of its shape. These schools date back to the post-war period and were built as part of the plan to re-build those areas that suffered the most destruction during the Civil War.

It was built on the same site as the previous schools, which were built at the beginning of the 20th century but destroyed during the war.

As was common at the time, the school has two wings, one for boys and one for girls, hence its two entrances and sets of steps.

Today, the building is a Special Education Unit and Ceramics Workshop forming part of the Colegio Público Juan Falcó (The Juan Falcó Public School).
